Wow - it’s been awhile since I heard about Giselle. I stumbled on her through “Flight Facilities - Crave You” and it’s such a rarity that I look up people who are featured on tracks. It just happen to be that Giselle was one of them. Our friends from Kistuné Maison always gives out great compilations and there’s always some good gems like this. I’m surprised that “Crave You” didn’t get so popular but then again I’m happy that it didn’t.
Okay, so her name is really Giselle Rosselli. She’s one of those ladies with those beautiful voices that is building up a good rep for her talent. Not to mention, she’s pretty fucking cute too. I swear, all Aussie girls are cute. Anyways, this song is one of her original materials and it’s like when I first heard Ellie Goulding - just simple and beautiful. The whole electronic slow poppy feel is quite the popularity today. Giselle might very well be the next rising girl in the electronic scene.

Kendrick Lamar – War Is My Love
This song was made to promote the new Tom Clancy game Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Even though this song’s production was funded solely for promotional purposes, Kendrick created something truly special that exceeded its original purpose.
For instance, one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs is The Rebel: Johnny Yuma. It was originally made for a subpar film under the same name, but it actually became pretty popular back in the day. Good music is good music…regardless of why or what it was made for. Promotional songs are no different.
Kendrick brings a true sense of intensity to War Is My Love with his on point lyrics and flow. Not to mention the production is absolutely phenomenal. This randomly turned out to be one of Kendrick’s best overall songs, which is obviously saying a lot.

We can pretty much gather that anyone from the United Kingdom I give you is just dope and this guy is just phenomenal to me. I’m loving his raspy voice and his cool, calm, and collected attitude just screams “KEEP ME ON ROTATE!”
His distinct and unique voice is EXACTLY what I need to help try and fill the void in my heart where the late and great Amy Winehouse has left…but NEVER forgotten.
And in case you need more proof this guy is amazing, he’s signed to Island records which houses great musical heavyweights like:
Angel, Cleo Sol, Josh Osho, John Newman, Jessie Ware and Jess Mills and the EVER SO POPULAR Florence and the Machine as well as the late Amy Winehouse.
Island Records is like a London version of Hidden Beach Records sort of.
